Isle of Skye Boatbuilders have over 20 years experience carrying out GRP repairs of all sizes and variety.

We have carried out over 50 major repairs for insurers all over the British mainland as well as repair work abroad.

After many years carrying out repairs we have developed unique skills working back polyester Gel Coats to leave an invisible mould finish therefore leaving the repaired area impossible to find.

As well as your standard polyester repairs, Isle of Skye Boatbuilders have extensive skills using many other composite materials and techniques.

Over the past couple of years our unique skills and experience has enabled us to secure contracts carrying out all RNLI repairs in their main re-fit yard in the country.

Working to this extremely high standard is where we have honed our skills using specialised epoxy and Kevlar systems unique to the high build quality that the RNLI are renowned for worldwide.

All laminating work carried out is to an exceptionaly high standard using the latest specialised vacuum bagging technology in which Isle of Skye Boatbuilders are fully trained.

Isle of Skye Boatbuilders offer a mobile repair service in which they give priority to emergency situations as they are fully aware of the consequences of serious damage limitation.
